Richmond GMO Free Zone Petition
April 16th, 2012 | GMOs, Our Food, BC, Britsh Columbia, genetically engineered, GMO, noGMO, Richmond, Vancouver
Vancouverites! Citizens of British Columbia! Please take a second to sign this petition. We need a GMO-FREE BC and this is a good place to start.
Richmond City Council will be deciding, within about 3 weeks, whether to accept a resolution to declare itself a GMO-free zone.
The City’s official Agricultural Advisory Committee DID NOT support the resolution and so I’m turning to you.
Would you take a few seconds to sign this petition to show that this is an important issue not only for the residents of Richmond but for the entire province?
Please sign the petition now! www.thepetitionsite.com
If you could forward the petition on to friends, that would be much appreciated to.
In solidarity,
GE Free BC Steering Committee
I understand an Act to amend the food and drugs act, with Bill C-517, which would require that all genetically modified food is labelled was not made law in the 39th Parliament, 2nd Session, ending September 2008.
With the health of British Columbians in mind, I would like to see all GMO’s sold in BC be labelled and to not permit growth of genetically modified food in British Columbia.
I definitely support a GMO-Free zone (I wish EVERY inch of America could be a GMO-Free zone!)
Keep strong and know we’re all behind you!
