Please forgive me for not posting the past couple weeks, I had a cranio training and then we took a road trip to Portland. Portland is an amazing spot for world food as they have a ton of food carts around every corner, they are often very colorful and you can find food from just about any corner of the world being sold quite affordably. The Portlandites have gotten quite used to and even bored with this phenomenon, but we had a great time. I nearly thought I was in S.E. Asia again! I just wish we hadn’t been on the GAPS diet and could have tried more stuff. What a great idea and a great way to get money circulating in the economy. Empty lots were taken over with tables and sometimes two or three or more different food carts would operate out of a lot.

Friday was a great night at the Blenz coffee shop on Seymore Street. The Ubuntu community in Vancouver hit the 500 members mark and we had a great celebration. I love having a party in a coffee shop since these days I don't drink much alcohol--or coffee either for that matter. I had a delicious capp ...

For millennia greedy, unscrupulous people have adulterated food in order to make a bigger profit. This happens all over the world, in Myanmar, for example, since people there know that abo ...
In February we spent the month buzzing about Real Food to support our local communities. We had great success with that, and so now, although I will never stop buzzing about Real Food, it is time to focus on another topic. I just finished watching a very informative interview with Woody Tasch talkin ...

After looking forward to seeing Milk War for several weeks it was really exciting to have such a great turnout! The Rio Theatre was a really perfect place to have the event with a stage for the music as well as popcorn for the hungry. Our wonderful organizer Noriko, kicked off the event with cont ...
I had the opportunity to have dinner with Alice Jongerden, and she told me some of how she came to be our cow's caretaker. She originally started with just one cow because she wanted fresh milk for her kids. Unfortunately, that cow was dry and she didn't get any milk. After a while she decided to se ...
