Diaspora the Better Way to Do Social Media!
October 12th, 2011 | D.I.Y., Open Source, facebook, google+, social media
I am very excited! I have just finally gotten my invite to Diaspora the open-source social media platform, I have just completed setting up my profile. Let me know if you want an invite! I have been waiting for the release of Diaspora for about a year now! I have gotten quite fed up with facebook and knowing that I can’t really trust them with my info, I have avoided using Google+ and been holding out for this release. So for those of you who haven’t heard of Diaspora here is a little quick bit of information to lay it all out for you. Again, if you’d like an invite let me know.
What is Diaspora*?
It’s a replacement for Facebook, Google+ and other predatory social networks.
Why would you want to use Diaspora*?
It respects your freedom and privacy. In other social networks, you are the product and you are surveiled. Diaspora* does not do that, and it does everything you want for free. It’s amazing.
How Do I Get It?
I have invitations to join the official alpha of Diaspora*, and I can send you one. Just send me message and it’s yours.
Interesting tidbit: Diaspora* runs on Ubuntu 🙂
If you have an extra, please yes!!!!!!
Please send me an invite! 🙂
I want a Diaspora* invite!!! 🙂
Yes, I would like an invite!
