Foodie’s Follow Friday Bloghop 2

I have teamed up with Alex over at www.amoderatelife.com and April of 21st Century Housewife to host the Feed Me! Tweet Me! Follow Me Home Friday Friend Builder Linky. Scroll to the bottom of this page to link up your Real food lovin’ blog so we can all get to know each other.

We are in the middle of a website redesign which I am very excited about as I have been waiting for this day for more than a year now. It is a lot of work–I have to repost all of my images, but I hope it will open up the site and make things more accessible. (If the website starts looking a bit funny over the next couple days that is what is going on and we should have it sorted out soon). As a result I have gotten a bit behind in many things, like posting, like following people back and whatnot! I have just gotten all of my peeps who linked up last week followed back and added to my favorite twitter list–realfoodlovers I have a lot of good people in that list if anyone is looking for more good food loving folk to follow. I have been adding people to that list for 3 years now so check it out and get connected.

On another note, I have also started a Grain-Free Tuesday bloghop which is especially geared for people who are on the GAPS or SCD diets. We have been on this diet for a year now and it has really changed our lives, but it is always good to have some input for new menu ideas. Please join us on Tuesdays and link up your favorite made from scratch grain-free and sugar-free recipes! I recently found this quick informative video with Dr. Natasha Campbell McBride who developed the GAPS diet and wanted to share it with you all–The Importance of Healthy Gut Flora:

February is the BUZZ about REAL Food month, and as there is just a few days left let’s make it go out with a bang. The Real Food Revolution is in full swing and no factory farm or evil corporation like Monsanto is going to get away with their greedy, manipulating ways anymore. As we see with Qaddafi in Libya and Mubarak in Egypt, these power-hungry types don’t let go of their control easily so we have to be prepared to dig in and hold out until we get what we want — NO MORE FACTORY FARMS! We are tired of having food used as a weapon of control so we are taking our food back, everyday. I think we are in a good position here as they haven’t realised yet just what a powerful community we are and that our dollars will vote loud and clear to bring them down.

I actually have more good news on that note–our local community raw-milk cowshare has been under attack by Fraser Health here in Vancouver BC for the past year and has just been given a reprieve. It looks like we are in position to win our battle for the right to choose what we want to put into our own bodies. They are going to leave us alone while our Agister challenges the court about them labelling raw milk a hazardous substance. Things are looking up for the local food movement in Canada at least.

OK so I am feeling a bit loopy right now and really need to go to bed, but I just wanted to shout out to all the folk that linked up with us last week and say a big thank you and nice to meet you. I just love to see the beautiful photos and to try out the tantalizing dishes everyone keeps coming up with. Please link up and lets get connected!

Feed Me! Tweet Me! Follow Me Home Friday!

Feed Me! Tweet Me! Follow Me Home at a Moderate Life! Now what you have all been waiting for! I am very excited to be partnering with Alex of A Moderate Life and April of the 21st Century Housewife to offer a Foodie focused find a friend blog hop. Alex started this bloghop and the linky is called Feed Me, Tweet Me, Follow Me Home and it is a true blog hop. This means, that if YOU wish to run the hop on your blog, all you have to do is get the linky code from the bottom of this page and list it on your blog for your readers to join in.

The rules are very simple, because it is a “follow me” linky.

Just enter your link below, grab our RSS feeds, follow each other’s tweets, join us on facebook or follow us on networked blogs.

You can use your blog badge as your thumbnail if you wish and you can link up any time during the week.

Visit as many other blogs as you like, to make new friends and follow their blog, grab their tweets and RSS feed if you do not already. If you do grab their info, please leave them a comment so they know they have a new friend. If someone visits you from Feed Me, and grabs your info, please return the favor!

You can share the Feed Me, Tweet Me, Follow Me Home badge if you want. Those are Alex’s two lovely parrots, Caliente, a Quaker parrot and Scarlet, a female Solomon Island Eclectus! Aren’t they cute?

It is that simple and hopefully this will help us all gain new visitors to our blogs and expand our audiences while giving us new places to explore and making the bloggiesphere a more friendly place! I follow everyone who visits me and leaves a comment, but if I missed you, please leave me a comment and have fun getting to know more wonderful places on the web!
