Foodie’s Follow Fridays 6 – Thank You

I have teamed up with Alex over at www.amoderatelife.com and April of 21st Century Housewife to host the Feed Me! Tweet Me! Follow Me Home Friday Friend Builder Linky. Scroll to the bottom of this page to link up your Real food lovin’ blog so we can all get to know each other.

I had the most wonderful thing happen to me this week. I had a lady come over to adopt a kombucha and kefir SCOBY from me last weekend and she mentioned to me that she was interested in raw milk. I had just gotten an email from our cowshare saying they were accepting new members so I was able to tell her about it. She was delighted. Then she started talking about my website and mentioned my recent post about orgonites (they are meant to be useful in dealing with EMFs and radiation–I have been wanting to try making them for ages, but haven’t gotten around to it). So we had a nice chat.

Then later in the week on Wednesday when I was going to pick up my milk I ran into her at our drop off point! I was so thrilled to pieces to be able to actually have someone who was excited to be involved in getting raw milk and kefir, kombucha, orgonites etc that I have just been on cloud 9 ever since. She had even been to a local metal worker to get some metal shavings to make some orgonites! I sure hope they work as advertised 🙂

Unfortunately, most people think I am nuts when I start going on about such things–some of them even seem to think I am trying to do them some harm or manipulate them in some way that I generally try not to talk about my mad beliefs too much. To actually have someone take value and find healing in what I try to offer everyone is so fulfilling. She was so lovely when she spotted me at our cowshare pick-up and was thanking me profusely for turning me onto where to get the raw milk, while in the meantime I was thanking her back just as profusely for actually taking such immediate action. I know I often get comments on my blog that are really nice, but it is just so wonderful to feel like I am really helping someone finally! She made my week, and I was getting pretty down about the situation in Japan.

I have just been up since 4 am putting together this post about how to detoxify yourself from radiation that I really have to get to bed now, but I just want to say, it sure is nice to be a part of a community of bloggers and real people who are willing and determined to take care of their bodies and our earth, people who are tuned in and aware of what is going on in our world and taking action to do whatever small or big steps they can to move in that direction.

By the way also check out this great way people are starting to build local community and businesses in their own cities–Underground Markets are popping up all over the world! I think this is a really exciting movement that was started by a wild food forager in San Francisco.

Thanks to all of you guys, as well! Thanks so much for all of your great recipes, articles and food lovin’ ways, let’s build the world we want to live in!

Please drop by for our World Food Thursdays Recipe Party and enjoy the diversity our amazing world has to offer. Also don’t forget to join us for the Grain-Free Tuesdays bloghop! These bloghops are open all week so you can share a link any time.

Feed Me! Tweet Me! Follow Me Home Friday!

Feed Me! Tweet Me! Follow Me Home at a Moderate Life! Now what you have all been waiting for! I am very excited to be partnering with Alex of A Moderate Life and April of the 21st Century Housewife to offer a Foodie focused find a friend blog hop. Alex started this bloghop and the linky is called Feed Me, Tweet Me, Follow Me Home and it is a true blog hop. This means, that if YOU wish to run the hop on your blog, all you have to do is get the linky code from the bottom of this page and list it on your blog for your readers to join in.

The rules are very simple, because it is a “follow me” linky.

Just enter your link below, grab our RSS feeds, follow each other’s tweets, join us on facebook or follow us on networked blogs.

You can use your blog badge as your thumbnail if you wish and you can link up any time during the week.

Visit as many other blogs as you like, to make new friends and follow their blog, grab their tweets and RSS feed if you do not already. If you do grab their info, please leave them a comment so they know they have a new friend. If someone visits you from Feed Me, and grabs your info, please return the favor!

You can share the Feed Me, Tweet Me, Follow Me Home badge if you want. Those are Alex’s two lovely parrots, Caliente, a Quaker parrot and Scarlet, a female Solomon Island Eclectus!

It is that simple and hopefully this will help us all gain new visitors to our blogs and expand our audiences while giving us new places to explore and making the bloggiesphere a more friendly place! I follow everyone who visits me and leaves a comment, but if I missed you, please leave me a comment and have fun getting to know more wonderful places on the web!
