April Health Horoscope

April Health Horoscope

My Healthy Options magazine arrived with this health horoscope for April 2010. I found it to be right on track with many points I have been pondering lately about rituals, healing and detoxification. Given that I am in the process of posting about various detoxing methods, this message fits right in, and says better than I can what I am currently finding to be so important. Taking the time and putting in the effort to choose your own rituals, and find your own personal healing techniques. Harsha Rigney, the lady who writes these horoscopes, is an Astrological Counsellor who lives in New Zealand. I have been reading her horoscopes since 2001 and I generally find them very helpful and right on target. I have her calendar the Astrovision Moon Calendar, which is stuffed with all kinds of information about the cycles of the year.

Making Connections

Making Connections

I was just reading a great interview with our local Ubuntu community’s ‘buzz’ generator, Randall Ross and The Agora National (I will post it later), and it got me thinking about making mistakes. We’ve all grown up in a world where mistakes are a big deal. In the world we live in now, you can make a mistake and end up on the street quite easily. In the world of Ubuntu, on the other hand, mistakes are opportunities, nothing to hide under a carpet, or get spanked for. What a mind-shift, imagine growing up in an environment like that!

Welcoming the Year of the Tiger

Welcoming the Year of the Tiger

There was so much going on for Valentines Day this year that I didn’t have time to think about chocolates and roses. Instead, I was thinking about joining in the celebrations to welcome in the Year of the Tiger and eager to get to Chinatown before the whole show was over since rumors said the festivities would be closed down early due to the Olympics. In fact, our bus couldn’t get through downtown, as soon as we realised this we headed for the nearest skytrain station and squeezed ourselves in among the throngs of people and headed for the Chinatown/Stadium stop.

The Roar of Awakening

The Roar of Awakening

The Chinese Year of the Tiger begins on Valentines day this year, making it extra special in my book… 14/2/2010. I was born in the year of the tiger so I confess to being prejudiced in this area . In honor of the upcoming New Year and because I was just going through an old folder full of some favorite quotes from years ago and discovered this wonderful tale of a lost tiger:

The Roar of Awakening

A tigress, pregnant and nearly ready to deliver, walked stealthily along the edge of a high cliff foraging for food. She looked over into the grassland below and spied a flock of goats grazing in the sunshine. Hungry as she was, she hesitated because the drop was precipitous. Then she took a great leap, and in the fall she lost her balance. The noise sent the goats scurrying into the forest for shelter. The neck of the tigress was broken as she hit the ground, but in her death throes she managed to give birth to her cub. Then all was silent.

Moon Calendar Health Horoscopes for 2010

Moon Calendar Health Horoscopes for 2010

Harsha and Sufi Rigney produce a wonderful calendar every year that is full of wonderful hint, tips and tid-bits about gardening by the moon, your health and various other aspects. I have been reading Harshas horoscopes for years and they are always amazingly spot on. They live in New Zealand so the calendar they make is geared towards the Southern Hemisphere. As we are now living in Canada I am hoping to generate enough interest in this wonderful Moon Calendar that they will make a version for us in the Northern Hemisphere as well. To further this aim, I am posting Harsha’s health horoscopes for 2010 from this years calendar. If you like what you see, please send Harsha and Sufi a message begging them to make a calendar for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere. You can contact them through their website www.astrovision.co.nz. The following is taken from the Moon Calendar 2010 and is written by Harsha Rigney. I have added in the details of this years solar and lunar eclipses of which there are four this year. Please read more–find your sign and learn what you can do to help yourself stay healthy and strong.

The Year of Ubuntu

The Year of Ubuntu

We welcomed the new year in bed watching Monk with our noses running and throats sore, snacking on rose-hip jam for vitamin C and drinking ginger and pau d’ arco tea to boost our immune systems. According to the once renowned but now forgotten Antoine Bechamp this process is a cleansing that occurs cyclically and is necessary to remove toxins that cause our tissues to rot or oxidize. The well known Pasteur set our world on the germ theory course, which has led us to the current terror of micro-organisms which has given the pharmaceutical industry it’s hold on our state of health and our belief that we are being ‘attacked’ by nature. We become victims with no control over our own health. This is absolutely not true.

Health Horoscopes 2010

Health Horoscopes 2010

There is an amazing lady Harsha Rigney who is an Astrological Councellor. She lives in New Zealand and writes the most spot on and comprehensive horoscopes I have ever had the opportunity to read. She also produces a fantastic Astrovision Moon Calendar, which is specific to the Southern Hemisphere but is full of very pertinent information. Her health horoscopes for 2010 were recently published in the Healthy Options December issue and brings light to the challenges we are all facing…

“We have all stepped into the pressure zone–no one is exempt; we are all under the challenge to break through the confining control of fear to come to a new dimension of living. Humanity is in the process of metamorphosis–both globally and for each of us individually. As in the stages of metamorphosis, as each new life form beckons, it initiates the process of death for the old identity before the new life can emerge.”
