Kombucha Vinegar Conditioner

About a year ago I started using apple cider vinegar to condition my hair. It worked so well that I started adding chamomile to the vinegar. In the past couple months I have gone one step further and started making kombucha vinegar (by simply allowing some kombucha to sour to vinegar) and then infusing it with chamomile flowers and using this for conditioner. It has worked remarkably well.

My original post, Baking Soda Shampoo, outlines the various things I used for shampoo, like eggs and marshmallow, and finally settled on simply using baking soda. That post also explains how I made my apple cider vinegar hair conditioner.

I’m No Patriot

I’m No Patriot

I have a confession to make, I'm no patriot. In fact the very idea makes me nauseous. This is a post I have been thinking about writing for a long time now in the interest of transparency--but have been avoiding it as I know it will probably piss a lot of people off. To be honest I have a lot of co ...

American Dream is American Nightmare for College Grads

Recently I got a comment on my post about the Student Loan Swindle from a very creative and interesting thinker who is living through this very situation herself. How (and Why) To Make Yourself an Orgonite

A couple months ago when I was researching the dangers of EMFs I came across this strange thing called an orgonite. At first I thought it was totally wacky and out there. Since that time I have kept coming across and there does seem to be something to it. Not only that but when I learned they were o ...

A Year on the GAPS Diet

A Year on the GAPS Diet

I was recently looking at some of my first posts about the GAPS diet and realized...it's been a year! I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. So let me see if I can manage to say something coherent about our experiences over this past year. I still feel that my gut needs to do some serious ...
