God bless you, Sunshine!

There are many explanations for the reference to Jesus' "brothers" in the Bible. First is that all close relatives are called brothers (first cousins included). Second is that according to church knowledge Joseph was a very, very old man. I have heard it explained that these brothers were, in fact, stepbrothers, children of St. Joseph and his first, deceased, wife.

That makes a lot more sense to me than that St. Mary, after having conceived through the Holy Spirit and given birth to the Incarnated God, went off had a carnal relationship with St. Joseph as though they were two "normal, everday people."

If Jesus did have brothers who were children of Mary & Joseph, why did He need to give her into St. John the Beloved's care? Didn't she have other sons and daughters to take care of her? Why would He need take time out of His important death on the Cross to make sure she was taken care of?

Dear Sunshine:

I've read your article and I want to know ,where are you staying in Egypt?. it may be I can tell you where to go to and ask all the questions which you want an answers for it.

But let me ask you , Are you a new Christian ?
(I mean new in faith about Christianity) .

- For kissing the hand of Bishops it is not just a respecting manner but we kiss the hand which carried the body and the blood of Jesus Christ (The Eucharist) during the Mass as a blessing, (by the way we kiss also the hand of priests, for the same reason).

for more info or you can get contact to ask anything about Coptic Orthodox.
