Thanks for pointing that out Dani! I was a bit confused by Herman's statement as it seemed as if he hadn't actually read the post...

It is interesting to start looking into epigenetics and realising that there is so much we don't know still...also so much to learn about micro-organisms, it is a very exciting field I find.

I know this is late, but I'm writing about autism/diseases in general and GAPS/healthy lifestyles and just came across this post. I'd just like to note that not once in the above article was hemophelia nor downs syndrome mentioned. And there actually aren't clear links between autism or schizophrenia being genetic. If there are, you should site your sources and make sure they are reliable. Your argument is just...bad.

Hella, I don't know anyone who blames the illnesses from alcohol or tobacco abuse on genetics. But I do know that haemophilia and Downs Syndrome are caused by genetic issues. Your blank statements are absurd.
the science is clear that autism and schizophrenia have genetic links.
A good diet and other environmental improvements may address some symptoms.
But to claim that gentic factors aren't the cause of many syndromes and diseases suggests you are suffering an environmental illness.... being out in the sun too long!
